STARCARE’s 6th Annual Women of Power Luncheon was held on Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency, Huntington Beach Resort & Spa. This year’s featured speaker was Manisha Thakor, founder of the Women’s Financial Literacy Initiative and co-author of two critically acclaimed personal finance books for women. We honored Seferina (Sefie) Garcia as our Philanthropist of the Year, in recognition of her selfless service to The Orange County Youth Motivation Task Force (YMTF) which she co-founded in 1976.
